BSA' s women's team beat Newman 6-0 in Broome's inaugural Friday night floodlight football feista.
Some say it was the dodgy pre game music, perhaps it was the new shirts, the television cameras, the support of Jimmy Asimacopolouseseses sister, who knows but Broome's footballing fillies did the town and association proud to retain the North West W League Shield and continue their unbeaten run.
A crushing first half performance from the home side set up the victory, however Newman should be commended for their fighting spirit, after being down 5-0 at half time and not having any shirt and tied coaches or technical directors chewing gum on the sideline to assist them.
A stunning two minute spell of scintillating soccer from BSA secretary and event organiser Monique Kelly just about put the icing on the cake, but BSA only had sausages. So it was snags and bread all round at the presentations - and a couple of cool mugs.
It's really quite pure and simple. Broome's women were super special on the night and they are already looking for their next challenge. So who's next? (stay tuned for more pics)
Much credit goes to the 'suited and tied' advisory committee for their straight? lines and gum chewing intensity in ensuring Broome were going to come out on top. Thanks for you dedication to our team over the last couple of months Platten and Doyle.
