Perth Glory to Take on Adelaide Utd

Perth Glory are set to take on Adelaide on Friday night, with David Mitchell saying he will experiment with the line-up due to several first team players out of action.

New marquee signing Mile Sterjovski, striker Branko Jelic, defender Andy Todd and midfielder Jacob Burns are still to arrive in WA, while Victor Sikora (Knee), Jamie Coyne (Groin), Scott Neville (Groin) and Hayden Doyle (ankle) are all not expected to make the trip to SA.

According to 442.com.au Mitchell will cast an eye over several youth players to see how they shape up against last season's grand finalists. Todd Howarth from Mandurah City is also expected to get a run as he attempts to seal an A-League contract for this year.

This should be an interesting match as Glory take on their first "serious" opponents after doing away with Inglewood United last week 1-0.

Obviously with so many players out, the result should not be considered to be too important, nor an indicator of how well the Glory will play this season. However, it will test the depth of the squad, and see how well it would cope against A-League opposition in the event that they lose a few first team players.

Welcome

Welcome to the blog of the Broome Soccer Association. Although only committee members can make initial posts, you can reply, ask questions and make your own observations in the comments sections.

Hopefully in the weeks to come more and more topics should be posted, from observations about the development of soccer in Broome, to more worldy topics such as thoughts about the A-League and international competitions.

Cheers!
